Dr. V. Supriya is a clinical nutritionist and has completed her post graduation with specialization in food
and nutrition. She has academically proven candidate with various proficiency prizes to her credit. Her
doctoral study has focused on antioxidants in sports nutrition. Apart form this she is a registered
dietitian. She is currently employed at the Department of Clinical Nutrition at Sri Ramachandra
University (SRU), Porur, Chennai. Her professional practice includes clinical services of multi specialty
dietetic practice. She also has teaching experiences of over 12 years to undergraduate and post
graduate students at SRU. She has actively participated, presented and won best papers at many
national/international conferences and workshops. She has twelve research papers published in
national and international journals of repute. She is a life member of Indian Dietetic Association (IDA),
Indian society of parenteral and enteral nutrition (ISPEN) and Nutrition Society of India (NSI).
She is the proud recipient of the IDA Founders Award for best oral paper presentation conducted by IDA
and also received the GOLD MEDAL for best poster organized by Indian association of nephrology. She is
a regular food column writer in popular dailies and magazines.
